Council

Council Overview and Programs

As a fraternal organization, the Knights of Columbus offers not only the opportunity for its member to serve others, but also to join together in other activities ranging from athletic activities, to cultural programs, to social events. Along with these fraternal activities are the programs councils regularly run to assist those of their members and their families who are in need. Additionally, councils should work to keep their members informed on current council initiatives and to let the parish and community know about the good works of the Order.  Apex Council 7186 offers the following:

  • Fellowship via our third Thursday social events.  Thursday night football in the fall
  • Pot Luck dinners for the entire council including spouses and families (usually three to four a year)
  • Run the council blood drive
  • Good of the order - working with sunshine committee to help in life changing events
  • Working relationship with Fourth Degree members to support all patriotic programs
  • Mentor Program which promotes seasoned and involved brothers reaching out to inactive members
