October Wrap Up

Brothers we have had a busy fall season with the Jazz Feast and the Cornell Chicken Pre-order Kiss event.  We will soon be rolling into the Christmas Season which gives us all an opportunity to renew our faith and our devotion to God as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.  I am always humbled this time of year and appreciative of the brothers who have stepped up to help sell 'Keep Christ in Christmas' cards, support our raffle, erect and dedicate our beautiful manger and of course support the very popular Santa's Workshop with our renowned crepe and pancake breakfast.

Congratulations to all those who supported the Cornell Chicken fundraiser. We raised 800.00 from the Cornell Chicken Keep it Simple Silly event.  The 800.00 is being donated for the Knights of Columbus 'Coats for Children' campaign.  Community Director, Mike Rota is working with the Catholic Parish Outreach to ensure that these coats will be put to good use.  The directors will meet tonight, Thursday October 29th to tweak and perfect this event.

It is important for me to reach out to our brothers that are not as active in the council to come to our next business meeting on Thursday November 5th to hear about all the vibrant changes in our council.  Remember my theme for this fraternal year is 'Year of Charity' and we are dedicating every fundraiser to a specific charity cause.  As you know, the Christmas at Biltmore raffle is for Op LAMB, and as indicated above Cornell Chicken for Coats for Children.  Our council is refocusing our work toward the good of our local community and supporting the National and Global efforts of our Supreme Knight, Carl Anderson.

To all our brothers, please join us in our mission of charity at the business meetings, events or volunteer opportunities.

Thank you and may God Bless you, your family and friends!

Vivat Jesus!
