Grand Knight's Message
This past week was an exciting time for me as I wrote up the various 'Best' programs for our council. In addition to the programs I also submitted our new website as a 'Best'. For some Grand Knights this can be just an administrative task that comes with the job, but for me it is another opportunity tell the world the great work that you do. Thank you for allowing me to represent your work.
Another thought crossed my mind while writing up the various programs, my two years as Grand Knight is quickly coming to a close. My heart is filled with joy from the work that each of you do and I can honestly say that I would do it again (yes that is in writing). With my emotions peaking, the right side of my brain took control and focused on setting up our slate of officers for the upcoming fraternal year. Our council has a few potential candidates but we are looking for Brothers interested in the following:
- Financial Secretary
If you are interested in any of the above please see me or Chris at the our upcoming business meeting. I should remind everyone that you will need to complete your third degree to represent our council as an officer. Good news is that the next third degree is Saturday, April 23, 2016. The All Saints Council 9709 will host this degree at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 11401 Leesville Road, Raleigh, NC 27613.
I believe that GOD does have a plan for all of us. Sometimes it may feel like you were hit in the head and sometimes He provides a more subtle message that you heart and mind need to open up to and act upon. Is part of your plan to take a leadership role in our council and be an example to your family and loved ones? Only you will know.
