Weekly Update September 12

Hello Brothers, Wives and Friends,

We participated in a very successful Ministry Fair this past weekend.  The picture above are your very own (from left to right) Tom Blum - Deputy GK, Al Martin - Inside Guard, Umberto Norigenna - Associate GK, Bob Callaway - Church Director, Mike Erpenbach - Membership Director and Joe Mulvey Honary member with 37 years of service.  A special thank you to Tom, Mike and Dan Cantrel for creating our new poster for the fair.  It is beautiful and very functional.  Based on our efforts to date, we have over ten candidates interested in joining our council.  We are planning an Exemplification Monday Sept 25th at 7pm at STMM.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Fatima, a Rosary prayer group is being planned on Saturday October 14th at 12:00 PM by our very own State Church Director Jeff Hoffman.  The specific location in Apex is being finalized. The signup in the upcoming activity section below is for both volunteers to read a decade of the Rosary and for those that are attending. 

We still have a lot going on this month.  This weekend is the CPO Food Drive collection AND the Apex Music Festival.  We need the following help so please see the sign ups in the Activity Section and well ... Sign up!

1. CPO Food Drive on 16th & 17th, - Need help before and after most Masses
2. Apex Music Festival on 16th - We need the following:
First Shift 2:00 to 7:00
Only need 3 Cashiers
Second Shift 6:30 to 11:30
Need
2 Servers and Runners
1 Fryer
1 Assembler
2 Cashiers
1 Nacho station


3. Adopt-A-Highway on September 23rd. Need 6 more volunteers

Thank you to all of our Officers and Leaders for coming together and getting our budget finalize and approved.  Another sign of our great council. 

We are called!  Now is a great time to come out and get involved.

September/October:

  • Load CPO Truck - WOW .. we are busy in September.  September 16th and 17th This is an easy signup to help receive the bags for the CPO food drive and load their truck before and after each mass that weekend.  Here is the signup:

  • Apex Music Fest - Our council will be cooking at this fantastic downtown Apex event on September 16th.  It is a great evening event with wondering music and lots of fun.  Please see the signup below:

  • Rosary for Life and Divine Mercy Chaplet – Second Sunday of every month 10:10 – 10:35AM in STMM Chapel
  • Rosary for Life – Fourth Saturday of every month from 8:00 – 10:00AM at Drake Circle in Raleigh
