With the terrible loss of life this past week, we faithful should look to the great works of kindness and compassion that good people of many religions, races, and backgrounds have done to oppose evil deeds and words. We saw first responders risk their lives for others, strangers perform acts of heroism, and incredible personal sacrifice.
During times of crisis, hardship, and suffering, we should always remember that our Catholic faith can guide us.
"Do not be conquered by evil but conquer evil with good." - Romans 12:21
I hope that everyone in our council, parish and community can find acts of kindness and good deeds to overwhelm all lesser acts. Your council officers and directors work hard to create opportunities every month to put our faith into action.
